David McGin

More than 25 years ago,  David McGinn picked up a guitar for the first time and he has yet to put it down. He was the lead guitarist for the Parker Star band, which recorded its debut CD with Grammy Award winning local producer Tony Ricci, at the music complex in Pawtucket. He accompanied the band as they played many shows throughout the Southern New England area, including  their most successful show at the famous Bitter End Club in New York City.David has frequently  performed  as the guitarist/backup vocalist with local act, Catching Blue. 

In late 2018 he formed his own acoustic duo, DNA, with vocalist, Amelia Izzi. They have continued to perform  regularly throughout the state.Since February of 2021, David has been performing as a solo artist. He performs a mix of classic and current music spanning the genres of Rock, Alternative, Pop, and more. When he’s not performing as a solo artist, you may even catch him playing guitar for American Idol’s own Amedeo.  David also jams with other local artists, like the Grammy nominated Tama Girard Inc.; local heroes, He Said She Said, and Kenny Hopkins.
